BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group) is one of China's largest state-owned automakers, headquartered in Beijing.
History
BAIC traces its roots to 1958, when Beijing produced its first indigenous vehicle, the Jinggangshan. The group grew through joint ventures with Hyundai and Mercedes-Benz while building its own Arcfox and Beijing brands. BAIC has expanded aggressively into new-energy vehicles in recent years.
