History
Lotus was founded in 1948 by Colin Chapman, whose philosophy of "simplify, then add lightness" defined the marque. The company won Formula One titles and built iconic road cars like the Esprit and Elise. Under Geely ownership, Lotus has launched the Eletre SUV and Emeya sedan as its electric future.
