Polestar is a Swedish-Chinese premium electric performance brand, jointly owned by Volvo Cars and Geely, focused on high-performance EVs.
History
Polestar began as a racing team in 1996 before being acquired by Volvo in 2015. Reborn as a standalone EV brand in 2017, it launched the Polestar 1 hybrid GT and Polestar 2 electric sedan. The brand combines Scandinavian design with Geely's EV platform technology and targets the premium performance segment.
