IM Motors has released the first official images of the new L6 x Prof. Jimmy Choo bespoke limited edition, revealing crystal-badged exterior styling and Dream Blue brake calipers ahead of its Aug. 18 debut.
IM Motors has unveiled the first official images of the new-generation IM L6 x Prof. Jimmy Choo bespoke limited edition, a collaboration announced on Aug. 7 when the renowned footwear designer was named the model's bespoke design master.
Jimmy Choo, born in Penang, Malaysia, to Chinese parents from Meixian in Guangdong province, was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 for services to the fashion industry. He received Malaysia's Datuk title in 2004, was named one of the world's outstanding Chinese designers in 2011, and won a cultural and artistic award at the Influential Chinese Figures Ceremony in 2012.
The limited-edition L6 is expected to carry a set of distinctive design elements inspired by Choo's craftsmanship. Official teasers highlight a multifaceted "crystal badge" on the exterior, crystal camera-lens protective covers, precision-painted brake calipers finished in a color dubbed "Dream Blue," and interior trim incorporating a pearl-shell decorative technique refined over four decades.
The vehicle is scheduled to go on official display on Aug. 18. No production numbers or pricing for the limited edition have been disclosed at this time.
The standard new-generation IM L6 launched earlier this year with a guide price starting at approx. $30,541 (China market 219,900 RMB). The full range features four-wheel steering across all versions and an official maximum range of up to 850 km.
