Geely has signed an agreement placing Lynk & Co's European commercial and brand operations under the umbrella of Volvo Cars, effective January 2027. The deal means Volvo's existing retail footprint and after-sales infrastructure will support the Chinese brand's rollout across the continent.

The arrangement marks a significant step for Lynk & Co, which has been seeking a structured path into Europe since its launch in 2016. Rather than building its own dealership network from scratch, the brand will leverage Volvo's established presence in key markets including Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia.

Volvo Cars will be responsible for brand management, retail operations, and after-sales service for Lynk & Co vehicles sold in Europe. The partnership is expected to accelerate Lynk & Co's market entry while reducing the capital outlay typically required to establish a new automotive brand in one of the world's most competitive regions.

Lynk & Co, a joint venture between Geely and Volkswagen that was later fully absorbed into the Geely portfolio, has so far focused on its home market in China. The brand has expanded its model lineup with electric and plug-in hybrid offerings, and Europe represents its most ambitious international push to date.

The move also reflects the increasingly integrated approach Geely is taking across its portfolio of brands. Volvo, Polestar, and Lynk & Co share technology platforms and engineering resources, and the new operational arrangement deepens that collaboration in the European market.

Lynk & Co has not yet disclosed which specific models will be available at launch or pricing details for European customers. The brand is expected to announce further commercial plans closer to the January 2027 go-live date.
