Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered 95,366 vehicles in September 2026, according to data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). The figure represents a 10.7% increase over August and marks the factory's highest monthly delivery volume this year. Domestic sales in China reached 64,837 units, up 29.5% month-over-month, also an annual high.

For the first nine months of 2026, the Shanghai facility has cumulatively delivered 743,300 vehicles, up 26.8% compared with the same period last year. However, domestic deliveries during that span totaled 381,200 units, down 14% year-over-year, reflecting intensifying price competition in China's electric-vehicle market.

By model, the Model Y remains the stronger seller in China. Through August 2026, cumulative domestic sales reached 226,931 units, a decline of 6.3% compared with the same period last year. The Model 3 logged 89,320 domestic sales over the same timeframe, down 12.4% year-over-year.

  • Tesla Model 3 starts at approx. $32,700 (China 235,500 RMB)
  • Tesla Model 3 Long Range starts at approx. $37,431 (China 269,500 RMB)
  • Tesla Model Y starts at approx. $36,611 (China 263,500 RMB)
  • Tesla Model Y Long Range starts at approx. $51,250 (China 369,000 RMB)

Tesla has not yet released a formal October delivery figure for the Shanghai Gigafactory. The factory continues to serve as the company's primary export hub, supplying models to markets across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.
