BAIC Group released its September sales figures, reporting 133,000 vehicles sold, a 9.6% increase over August. Year-to-date cumulative sales reached 1.167 million units, as the company said it achieved "structural growth" amid intensifying market competition.

Self-owned brands formed the core of the result, accounting for roughly 70% of total volume. September self-owned brand sales totaled nearly 100,000 units, up 17.1% month-on-month, with the first nine months combining for over 808,000 units, up 11.7% year-on-year.

Arcfox continued building its product lineup across the Alpha, Beta, and Wendao series. Stelato moved from early-market entrant toward a leadership position in the luxury sedan segment. Beijing Off-Road strengthened its product competitiveness, while Foton maintained its position as China's top-selling commercial vehicle brand.

Joint-venture operations — Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai in China — were described as accelerating localization upgrades to form a more diversified output mix.

Overseas expansion remained a defining theme. BAIC's international division sold over 31,000 units in September, up 19.4% year-on-year. The nine-month overseas total surpassed 274,000 units, a 27.2% annual increase, and the company marked its 40 millionth global customer delivery milestone.

BAIC International is deploying a multi-brand export strategy under the Stelato, Arcfox, and BAIC banners, with markets including Saudi Arabia, Peru, Brazil, Panama, New Zealand, and Colombia. The group operates six global technology centers, 28 KD assembly plants, and a sales service network spanning more than 140 countries.

Foton, meanwhile, continues to lead China's commercial vehicle export segment. The company used the September Hanover IAA Transportation Show to accelerate its European push, outlining 2030 targets for internationalization and new-energy commercial vehicles.

On the technology front, BAIC highlighted its L3-level autonomous driving program — the Arcfox Alpha S (L3 version) has completed over 110,000 km of open-road testing across multiple Beijing highways. The company also pointed to collaborations with CATL, Qualcomm, and Bosch on battery, chip, and chassis technology, alongside its own "Yuanjing AI" smart cockpit and driver-assistance systems.

BAIC said it launched more than 20 new models this year, with a focus on premium segments, including the Arcfox Wendao V9, Stelato G9, Beijing Off-Road TaiTan 700, and Foton Kawan. The group also introduced a "user co-creation" manufacturing approach, yielding the Beijing 81 and Urban Hunter model families as new sub-brand categories.
